Integrating KnoCommerce's universal embed feature with Replo

KnoCommerce’s integration with Replo empowers you to embed Kno surveys directly into custom pages built with Replo​.

By integrating KnoCommerce with Replo, you can seamlessly collect customer feedback on your brand's various pages and have all that data flow into your KnoCommerce dashboard for unified analysis.

With this integration, you can extend KnoCommerce surveys beyond post-purchase, embedding at various customer touchpoints while maintaining a consistent, branded user experience on Replo pages​


Setup

Follow the steps below to enable the Replo integration. This involves grabbing a bit of information from KnoCommerce first, so be sure to have both your Replo and KnoCommerce tabs open:

  1. Open the Replo project you want to edit

  2. Once the editor is opened, click on the "Insert" toggle in the left navigation

  3. Once the "Insert" option is opened, use the search field to search for "KnoCommerce"

  4. On the left side of the editor, click the "Components" toggle. Then, search for "KnoCommerce". You should see a Kno component appear.

  5. Drag the KnoCommerce widget anywhere you would like on your Replo page

  6. Once placed, click on the gear icon to open the advanced settings for the KnoComerce widget

  7. From here, you'll want to head back to KnoCommerce for a few pieces of data:

    1. KnoCommerce Account ID: Found in KnoCommerce via Settings -> Account

    2. KnoCommerce API Key: Found in KnoCommerce in Settings -> Integration (Note: This is different from the keys you generate under API Access)

    3. Survey ID: Found in your survey URL (see below). Head to your Surveys page to find your survey and copy the link for that detail (Note: This survey must be published using the Custom option)

  8. Paste those KnoCommerce values into the Replo settings

  9. You're all set!

We recommend placing the survey prominently (e.g., at the top of a page) so it’s in the customer’s main field of vision​.

  • Unified Data & Analytics: All responses from surveys embedded on Replo pages feed into your existing KnoCommerce analytics. There’s no siloed data or separate tracking needed – you’ll see these survey results alongside the rest of your post-purchase or attribution data in KnoCommerce.

Troubleshooting

Having trouble with your KnoCommerce survey on a Replo page? Below are some common issues and their solutions:

  • Survey not appearing on the Replo page: If you do not see the survey at all, first double-check that the correct KnoCommerce values were added for Account ID, API Key, and Survey ID. Make sure you're grabbing the API key from the Custom Integration page only.

  • Multiple surveys: Only 1 survey can be added to each Replo page.

  • Duplicate or unwanted survey display: If you find that customers are seeing the survey more than once (for example, on the standard confirmation page and on your Replo page), it’s likely due to deploying the same survey in multiple places. To fix this, decide where you want the survey to appear and adjust your settings accordingly. If you only want it on the Replo page, ensure you did not also deploy it to the Shopify confirmation page (in the survey’s settings, it should only be added to the custom confirmation, not to Shopify)​

    . If you do want it in both places for some reason, you might consider creating separate surveys (one for the default confirmation and one for the Replo page) so you can track each context independently. In general, avoid deploying one survey to two places simultaneously to prevent confusing the customer and duplicating data.

  • Styling or layout issues with the embedded survey: If the survey is showing up but doesn’t look quite right (for example, maybe it’s not centered or is cut off), you might need to adjust the container or use some custom CSS. In Replo, you can add styling to the Custom HTML block or surrounding elements to control the placement. By default, the survey container <div> will expand to the width of that block. Once your Replo integration is up and running, there are many ways to leverage it. Below are some real-world use cases that this integration unlocks, along with best practice tips to get the most value:

  • Custom Thank-You Pages & Post-Purchase Flows: If you have a post-purchase experience outside the standard Shopify confirmation (for example, a custom Thank You page or an upsell page built with Replo), embedding a survey there can yield immediate insights. You could ask customers how their checkout experience was, gather NPS feedback, or inquire why they did/didn’t take an upsell offer. For instance, some brands use Replo to create a tailored confirmation page on Shopify Plus – by placing a KnoCommerce survey at the top of that page, they ensure every customer sees it upon completing checkout​.

  • Product Research on Landing Pages: You can use KnoCommerce surveys in a pre-purchase capacity by embedding them on Replo landing pages to better understand the product and shopping experience.

  • Mid-Funnel Feedback in Marketing Campaigns: Replo is often used to build campaign-specific pages (for example, a holiday promotion page or a special event microsite). By embedding a KnoCommerce survey on such a page, you can ask questions that tie directly to that campaign. For instance, on a Black Friday sale page you might embed a one-question poll like “How did you hear about our Black Friday sale?” or a quick survey about what deals customers are looking for. This integration means you don’t need to rely solely on the post-purchase survey for attribution data – you can gather some intent data even before checkout.
