Overview of Kno's new design

In early 2025, we launched a new design for Kno to help you navigate our product more intuitively, build surveys faster, and reduce the overall time it takes to unlock new value.

What's changed?

At first glance, KnoCommerce might look a lot different than what you've been used to over the last few years. The good news: All the same features exist - and a few new ones too! Here are some of the biggest changes:

  • Updated Sidebar: The left-hand navigation now contains all your settings and redirects to other parts of the product (e.g. Surveys, Audiences, etc.) These settings were previously spread across multiple parts of the product.

  • Survey Builder: We've launched a brand new survey builder that brings all the basic + advanced functionality to the surface. No more clicking around to find your settings!

  • Survey Results: Each survey now has it's own view of results - making it easier to see a specific survey's analytics, response feed, and attribution data.

Home / Dashboard

What changed?

No major changes to your main homepage / dashboard.

The main update is that we've improved the look and feel of the charts. Time for some nicer screenshots!

How do I access?

Click on "Home" on your sidebar.


Settings

What changed?

Previously, user settings were configured on one page, account settings on another, and a few other settings were sprinkled in other places throughout the rest of the app. No more need to click around with our new update!

We've consolidated all your user and account settings into one place:

  • Account information (e.g. Account ID, currency settings)

Expand your lower left menu to access your settings:


Switching Accounts

What changed?

Managing multiple accounts? Previously, you had to click through your user settings and then select an account to switch to.

You can now easily toggle between all your accounts using the menu on the top left of your dashboard.

How do I access?

Click on the menu on the top left-hand corner of your dashboard:


Survey Index

What changed?

The key changes on your survey index page include:

  • Ability to click anywhere on the tile to view the results for your survey

  • Clearer display of the draft/live state

  • Display of number of questions within a specific survey

  • Display of creation date

We also updated where the survey settings are located:

Survey Builder

What changed?

Previously, the KnoCommerce survey builder had countless nested settings - like logic, required questions, and more. We're bringing it all to the surface!

The key changes for our survey builder includes:

  • Brand new "Blocks" for adding and moving around questions

  • Easy-to-access design + confirmation pages while building

  • Full display of advanced settings and logic

  • Live preview of changes

How do I access?

  • For new surveys: Click on "Surveys" on your sidebar, and then "Create survey"

  • For existing surveys: Click on "Surveys" on your sidebar, click on a survey, and then click on "Edit" on the following page

Audiences

What changed?

Previously, Audiences were primarily accessed from your Surveys section of KnoCommerce. Since Audiences can be used across any survey, we wanted to make them more generally accessible.

The key changes for Audiences include:

  • Access Audiences directly from the left-hand navigation menu

  • Clearer display of status (e.g. Active), key metrics, and settings

  • Ability to search Audiences

How do I access?

Click on "Audiences" on your sidebar.

Note: You can enable/disable Audiences with the power icon that is displayed when editing or creating an Audience.


Benchmarks

What changed?

Previously, Benchmarks were primarily accessed from your Surveys section of KnoCommerce. Similar to Audiences, since Benchmarks can be applicable across almost any survey, we wanted to make them more generally accessible.

The key changes for Benchmarks include:

  • Access Benchmarks directly from the left-hand navigation menu

How do I access?

Click on "Benchmarks" on your sidebar.


Exporting

What changed?

Previously, Exports were primarily accessed from either your Reports or Surveys section of KnoCommerce. However, the Export only exports response data, which led to some confusion when it was included in the Reports section.

The key change for Exports is:

  • Access Exports from the Responses section of your Survey page (see above)

How do I access?

  • Click on "Surveys" on your sidebar

  • Click on Responses

  • Click on "Export"

FAQs

Can I switch back to the old experience?

It's not possible to revert to the previous version of KnoCommerce. To share your feedback on the new design, please respond to this survey.

Do you support dark mode?

Yes! You can now toggle between light and dark mode in your account settings:

Can I collapse the sidebar?

Yes! Clicking on this icon will collapse or expand the sidebar:
