Overview

The TikTok Post Purchase Survey (TTPS) comes with 2 standard attribution questions, but you have the option to add a 3rd custom question to gather additional insights about your customers. This guide will help you understand the available question types and provide recommendations for the most effective questions to ask.

Creating or Editing Your Custom Question

You can add or edit your custom question directly from the survey design builder during the TTPS setup process.

To create a new custom question, click "Add Custom Question" in the survey builder. This will open a modal where you can configure your question type, write your question prompt, and add response options.

To edit an existing custom question, select “Edit Survey” from the dashboard. Once in the survey builder click "Edit Custom Question". The same modal will open, allowing you to modify your question settings.

NOTE: For meaningful insights, avoid changing the survey type or prompt for 14 days. Editing a custom question resets collected responses and removes past data.

Understanding Question Types

When adding your 3rd custom question, you can choose from three question types:

Radio

Radio button questions are single-response questions. Customers will only be able to select one option from your list. Use this when you want customers to choose their top answer.

Checkbox

Checkbox questions are multiple-choice. Customers will be able to select more than one option. Use this when multiple answers may apply to a single customer.

Text Input

Text input questions allow customers to type a free-form response. Use this when you want open-ended feedback or information that can't be captured in predefined options.
