One of the best ways to drive customer behavior within the context of KnoCommerce is the Action feature. Check out our general Action help doc here.
You can use a KnoCommerce survey to send customers to leave a product review on Junip. You'll add a short question asking whether they'd like to leave a review. Customers who answer "Yes" then see a Canvas Action with a link to your Junip review page.
We suggest showing this mainly to returning customers, since they've had time to try your products.
Shopify Checkout Extensibility: If your survey runs on Shopify's new Thank You and Order Status pages, use the Canvas Action as shown below. The older "Junip" template in the question library is built on an HTML block. HTML blocks don't display on Shopify's new checkout pages, and the builder won't let you save or publish a Shopify survey that contains one.
Before you start: Copy your review link from your Junip account.
Step 1: Add a review question
Open a new or existing survey and click Add content.
Add a Single Choice question, such as: "Would you like to leave a product review today?"
Add two answer options: Yes and Not today.
Step 2: Add a Canvas Action
Click Add content, open the All blocks tab, and select Canvas under Actions.
Give the block a title, for example "Leave us a review!" You can hide it with Hide Question Title.
In the Canvas Editor, click Press to add component, then add:
Text: a short message, e.g. "Our business relies on customers like you. Would you help others by sharing a review?"
Link: set Content to your link text (e.g. "Leave a Review") and URL to your Junip review link. The link opens in a new tab.
Tip: Want it to look like a button? Add an Image component instead. Upload a button graphic and paste your Junip review link into Link URL.
Step 3: Only show it to customers who said "Yes"
With the Canvas block selected, open the Logic tab.
Turn on Enable Logic, then Pre-requisite Question.
Under Required Question, choose your review question.
Under Conditions, click Add condition and choose Yes.
Step 4: Save and publish
Click Save changes. For a new survey, make sure a channel is enabled, then click Publish.
Good to know
On Shopify's Thank You and Order Status pages, links follow Shopify's checkout styling, so you can't set custom button colors. Use the Image tip above if you want a button look.
The Canvas Action also works outside Shopify's checkout pages, so you can use it in any survey.
