Shopify Extensibility Note: Video question types are not supported on Shopify Checkout UI Extensions. If your survey runs on the Shopify Thank You Page or Order Status Page via extensibility, use Image-only questions instead. Video questions will work on KnoLink, Custom Embed, and non-extensibility environments. For the full list of limitations, see our Extensibility guide.
Use this question type to give your customers visual options to choose from! Brands use this feature for ad recall to see which advertisements are working best or for product development research to see which potential new offering is most attractive!
Note: Video files will only render on KnoLink, Custom Embed, and Email Embed surveys. Shopify Extensibility surveys support images only.
Add the Image or Video Upload question by searching the Question Library for image or video and selecting the question type.
Once you're able to insert the question into your survey, do the following to set up your question and start collecting your insights!
Ask your question in the title field
Upload your image or video
Image/Video Limit: 8 images/videos
Supported Image File-types: JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, WEBP, TIFF, SVG+XML, X-ICON
Supported Video File-types: MP4, MPEG, WEBM, OGG, Quicktime, X-MSVIDEO, X-MATROSKA, X-FLV, X-MS-WMV
File Size Limit: 20 MB
Give that image/video a title or name
The default question format is radio-button (or only selecting one option), but clicking advanced settings opens up the settings modal where you can toggle on Enable Multi Select to change the format so the customer can select more than one option
Lastly, you can choose to Hide Title/Remove Response Titles, which will leave all of the options without any names on the live question version.
