Integrate Kno with Yotpo
Once you have created an account on KnoCommerce, head to your Integrations page to start configuring Yotpo.
Step 1:
Click 'Connect' next to the Yotpo option to start your integration!
Step 2:
After you click 'Connect' on the overall integrations page, you'll see the Yotpo-specific Integration prompt. Click 'Connect' again to fully connect Kno to Yotpo.
Step 3:
This will redirect you to your Yotpo account. Login to Yotpo when prompted if you are not already logged in to the platform.
Step 4:
If you have access to multiple Yotpo accounts, you'll need to choose the account and click Continue to proceed.
Step 5:
Press 'Connect' to acknowledge the access permissions.
Step 6:
And that's it! Your KnoCommerce/Yotpo Integration is now connected! You should see this reflected in your Kno Integrations page.
Once your integration has been configured, customers who answer KnoCommerce survey questions will have their profiles tagged with the Question they answer and the response they give.
Step 7:
From here two different products on Yotpo can use KnoCommerce survey responses:
SMS & Email Yotpo Product Setup
To set up email and SMS flows based on KnoCommerce survey responses, follow these directions!
Step 1:
In Yotpo, go to the SMS & Email product.
Step 2:
Click Flows to configure a flow using KnoCommerce data.
Step 3:
Search the triggers for Kno, select the Kno Trigger (either Survey View, Survey Response, or Survey Complete), and add a Condition for your Workflow.
The three different options you have for conditions are Survey ID, Survey Name, or Profile Property. Here's how to utilize each one:
Survey ID
Find your survey ID by going to your KnoCommerce Surveys page and entering the survey editor for the survey you're going to use. Find the Survey ID at the end of the URL in the browser URL bar (ID in the screenshot below has been changed for security).
Survey Name
Find the survey name by going to your KnoCommerce Surveys page and entering the survey editor for the survey you're going to use. Find the Survey Name in the Survey Title field as pictured below (Survey Name = Yotpo Dev Test).
Profile Property
Important: You can only set up flows off of the profile property AFTER surveys have been completed with the integration configured. Once those tags have been added to customer profiles, you'll be able to select them in the Workflow section.
The profile properties will be the Question Title (for instance, 'How did you first hear about us?') prefixed by Kno:
Step 4:
Once you complete the setup of the rest of the workflow and save it, you'll be all ready to go! Congrats! Customers completing their surveys will now enter the flow based on your triggers and follow the flow that you've configured.
Loyalty & Referrals Yotpo Product Setup
The other use case will be to reward customers for different survey actions that they complete. Switch over to the Loyalty & Referrals product and then follow the instructions below.
Step 1:
Click Set Up Program in the Loyalty menu and select Rewards Program.
Step 2:
Create a new Earning Rule for customers to earn points based on Kno Survey events.
Step 3:
In the Advanced section, find the Custom Action option and click 'Next'.
Step 4:
Select the Action Name for your Custom Action.
Important: The three Action Names you can use from KnoCommerce are:
survey_view - this will only happen once per survey you have live on your KnoCommerce account but customers won't necessarily have control over seeing the survey
survey_response - a response (similar to survey_views) will only happen once per survey and your customers won't have the ability to view more surveys necessarily, but they can choose to respond to surveys whenever they see them on your site
survey_complete - this requires a customer to finish and complete the survey in totality, which only happens once per survey
For the rest of the Custom Action, set up the Campaign Name, Description Text, Target Audience and Other Yotpo fields according to your preference, and make sure to click 'Create' at the bottom of the page to finalize the Earning Rule.
Step 5:
Sit back and let your customers earn those loyalty points for viewing, responding to, and completing a survey!
