Overview

TikTok's Post Purchase Survey (TTPPS) program is a post-purchase survey solution built directly into TikTok Ads Manager. TTPPS allows you to deploy a streamlined post-purchase survey specifically for TikTok attribution measurement. This guide will walk you through the complete setup process, from launching the survey setup to reviewing your survey metrics.

Step 1: Launch Survey Setup

From the Attribution Analytics section of your TikTok Ads Manager, select the Post Purchase Survey tab, then click "Continue with Kno" to begin the authentication process.

This will redirect you to KnoCommerce to complete the connection between your TikTok account and your survey platform.

Step 2: Connect and Authorize Your Shop Platform

Once redirected to KnoCommerce, you'll need to select and connect your e-commerce platform.

Available Platform Options:

You can connect KnoCommerce to any of the following platforms:

  • Shopify

  • WooCommerce

  • BigCommerce

  • Other (Google Ads Manager or Custom Integration)

Shopify Setup

If you're using Shopify, follow these steps:

  1. Enter your Shopify store prefix (the part before .myshopify.com)

  2. Complete the KnoCommerce installation for Shopify by following the prompts

All Other Platforms

For WooCommerce, BigCommerce, or other platforms:

  1. Enter your shop URL and ensure it starts with https://

  2. Enter your preferred email address for account notifications

Step 3: Review and Publish Survey Design

Once your platform is connected, you'll be taken to the survey builder to customize your TikTok Post Purchase Survey.

Preview Survey and Add a 3rd Question

The preset TikTok survey includes 2 standard attribution questions:

  • How did you first hear about us?

  • What brought you to our website today?

You can optionally add a 3rd custom question to gather additional insights. Available question types for your custom question include:

  • Radio (single choice)

  • Checkbox (multiple choice)

  • Text input

Select Language Preferences

You have two options for how your survey will display to customers:

Single Language: The survey will be displayed in one default language to all customers, regardless of their browser settings.

Auto Translate: The survey language will automatically adjust based on the customer's browser settings. Supported languages include:

  • English (en)

  • French (fr)

  • German (de)

  • Spanish (es)

  • Portuguese (pt)

  • Japanese (ja)

If a customer's browser language is not supported, the survey will default to your selected default language.

Terms and Conditions

Before publishing, review the TikTok Post Purchase Survey terms and conditions to ensure you understand the data sharing agreement between KnoCommerce and TikTok.

Step 4: Survey Setup and Implementation

After customizing your survey design, it's time to implement it on your store.

Review Setup Instructions

Follow the setup instructions provided based on your selected shop platform. The implementation process varies depending on whether you're using Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, or another platform.

Shopify Extensibility Warning

IMPORTANT: If you're using Shopify, you'll need to add the KnoCommerce app block to your checkout using Shopify's Checkout Extensibility.

Shopify is migrating all stores to Checkout UI Extensions by summer 2025, so if you haven't already upgraded, we strongly recommend doing so now.

Confirm Setup

Once you've reviewed the setup instructions and completed all implementation steps, click "Confirm Setup" to finalize your configuration.

NOTE: Unpublished surveys will not display to customers, even if the integration is properly configured. Make sure to publish your survey before testing!

Step 5: Review Survey Metrics on the Dashboard

After your survey is live and collecting responses, you can monitor performance directly from your KnoCommerce dashboard.

Survey View and Response Rate Chart

A line graph displays your survey views and responses over time, allowing you to track engagement trends and identify any issues with survey display or completion rates.

Question Response Charts

Bar graphs show the response distribution for each survey question, giving you immediate visibility into which attribution sources are driving the most customers to your store.

These metrics help you understand not only where your customers are coming from, but also how effectively your survey is capturing that data.

NOTE: After confirming your setup, a modal will appear indicating that your survey is under review by TikTok. This review process can take up to 48 hours to complete. Once approved, your survey will begin displaying to customers on your post-purchase pages.
