Who is this for
Brands running multiple Shopify stores, regions, or sub-brands that want a clean KnoCommerce setup with the right billing and user access.
TLDR
Use Register with Shopify for each store.
Avoid Google sign-in or plain email for multi-store setups.
For centralized billing, register all stores and stop at plan selection. Your Kno sales rep will send a single Stripe link.
After registration, your Success rep will link your user to all stores so you can switch accounts easily.
If you prefer, we can register the stores for you. You will still connect Shopify to each account before going live.
Before you begin
You must be a Shopify staff user with permission to install apps on each store.
Decide if you want centralized billing across stores or individual billing per store.
Recommended setup paths
Path A: Standard multi-store setup on Shopify
Go to the Kno registration page and choose Register with Shopify.
Select the first Shopify store to connect and finish the short setup.
Repeat the same Register with Shopify flow for each additional store or region.
In each new account, go to Settings β Integrations and confirm the Shopify connection.
Add the Kno app block to your Shopify checkout pages for each store.
Invite teammates as needed and confirm you can switch accounts using the guide below.
Why this matters: Using Register with Shopify prevents email-based conflicts that occur when you use Google sign-in or manual email registration for multiple stores.
Path B: Centralized billing with your Kno sales rep
Use Register with Shopify to create all store accounts, one per Shopify store.
Stop at plan selection on each account. Do not choose a plan.
Tell your Kno sales rep when all stores are registered.
Your rep will send a centralized Stripe billing link, then we will attach every store to that billing profile on the backend.
You will still connect Shopify in each store account before going live.
Path C: Let Kno register for you
If you prefer, we can create the accounts on your behalf. We will need:
Store names and Shopify store URLs
The email address to assign as the account owner for each store
Whether you want centralized or per-store billing
You will still connect Shopify to each account before launch.
Switching between accounts
Once your stores are registered, we will ensure your user has access to all accounts so you can switch between them in-app.
Guide: Multi-account access
Alternative: Install from the Shopify App Store
If you already created your first store via the Kno registration link, you can install KNO on additional stores directly from the Shopify App Store:
We can merge the account billing on our side afterward if needed.
Common pitfalls and how to fix them
Problem: I used Google sign-in or manual email, and now I cannot register a second store.
Fix: Register the additional stores using Register with Shopify. If a duplicate account was created, contact us, and we will merge or clean up.
Problem: I see multiple accounts, and I am not sure which one is connected to Shopify.
Fix: Open each account, go to Settings β Integrations, and confirm Shopify is connected. If you find a duplicate without a Shopify connection, we can safely archive it.
Problem: Billing looks duplicated across two accounts.
Fix: If one account was made through Stripe and another through Shopify, we will cancel the extra, issue a refund if applicable, and tie the correct account to your billing profile.
Problem: The Survey is not appearing after registration.
Fix: Confirm the Kno app block is added to Thank You and Order Status pages in each store and that at least one survey is published to the correct audience.
